Can I add Collagen & Colostrum to hot liquids?Updated 4 days ago
Collagen peptides are relatively heat-stable, and ordinary “hot beverage” temperatures (140–180°F) won’t significantly damage their protein structure.
Conversely, Colostrum contains bioactive compounds (like immunoglobulins and growth factors) that begin to degrade noticeably above ~140°F. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures (like 160–212°F) can significantly reduce these beneficial components.
We recommend letting hot liquids cool below 140°F before stirring in the powder to preserve as many heat-sensitive micronutrients and immunoglobulins as possible.
